Methodology

The VICUP Framework

Vertically Integrated Conjugate Undulating Periodization — a system, not a template.

VICUP draws on Verkhoshansky's SPP/GPP architecture to map long-term performance development across general and specific preparatory phases. Within those macro structures, qualities are trained conjugately — maximal strength, RFD, reactive ability, and aerobic capacity all kept in motion simultaneously, with planned undulation to emphasize each in turn.

Mobility and joint health are not an afterthought. Functional Range Conditioning (FRC) protocols are woven into every block to expand articular capacity, control end-range strength, and protect the joints that elite output depends on.

And every block is governed by active CNS fatigue management. Volume, intensity, and density are dialed not by feel, but by validated markers — heart rate variability, jump performance, bar speed — to keep athletes adapting instead of accumulating fatigue debt.

The result is a coaching system that can deliver speed, strength, and longevity in the same training year — without compromising any of them.
